OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our process begins by immersing ourselves in the character of the site, its sense of place, textures, and history—while gaining a deep understanding of the client's lifestyle and vision. From this, a concept rooted in environmental, cultural, and personal context begins to emerge—shaped through sketches, palettes, and conversation.
Our design process unfolds in clear stages, guiding each project from first conversations through to completion. The table below outlines what you can expect at every step.
Stage Description
01/ Brief & Survey Our first visit defines the project scope and helps us understand the client's lifestyle and the site's character. We assess key features like soil, aspect, and existing elements. A survey records dimensions, levels, and features, and we also discuss budget at this stage.
02/ Concept With the brief and site confirmed, we develop a concept rooted in context—environmental, historical, or cultural. Sketches, palettes, and models shape the early vision, which we refine in close dialogue with the client.
03/ Detailed Design We create technical drawings and refine materials and planting choices. Working with expert nurseries and craftspeople, we ensure every detail supports the design's integrity and buildability.
04/ Tender & Delivery We coordinate with trusted contractors or the client's team, regularly visiting site to guide quality, budget, and timing. We personally oversee all planting and finishing touches to ensure a seamless result.
